Getting traffic to a website can be a very frustrating process if you don’t know how to it correctly. I would like to be able to tell you how to push the easy button when it comes to getting increased website traffic. The reality is that you have to plan it out, and then release the hounds as they say. In other words do every freaking thing you can think of to get traffic. I have a lot of people ask me for a step by step system to get more traffic so I wrote it all out in a free 10 part report about how to increase website traffic.
Let’s get back to the plan it out part. What you really want is, “targeted traffic”. You can invest a lot of time money and energy doing all sorts of traffic strategies, but if the traffic is not targeted, what is the point.Part of the planning and actually getting increased website traffic is identifying certain keywords people are searching for on a particular topic, and determining how easy or difficult that keyword is going to be to rank in the search engines for. When you can get in the top levels of the first pages in the search engines, this is a free way to get increased website traffic.
So here we go, after identifying the keywords, you can use them for two things.
Article marketing is a strategy that will get good results with increased website traffic, providing it is done correctly. There is a lot of good information on the internet that will explain the proper process for article marketing, but the thing to remember is you have to stay consistent. That means a lot. Remember, you want to do everything you can to get traffic and targeted traffic at that.
Forum marketing is extremely touchy, yet very effective, once again, if done correctly and will get increased website traffic. Identifying forums and getting involved in the community’s, that means actually reading the questions people are asking and responding with quality answers, add value to the community. If you are promoting a particular website, create a signature line in your profile that redirects to that website. Over time you will build up hundreds of links back to the site and they will be coming from a target rich environment. Note and this is very important. DO NOT spam the forums. What that means is don’t join forum and just start talking nonstop about a product and leaving links all over the place. You’ll get shut down and it’s just not cool.
Blog commenting can be a good way of getting increased website traffic that is targeted. Once again DO NOT spam the blogs. A quick way to do this is set up an alert in google alerts for a particular key word, then choose the blog option. You’ll notices when blogs are updated, you want to be the one of the first people to comment on the blog. Take time and actually read it and leave a comment about the subject and put your website url in the appropriate spot.
